I met this sweet baby girl in her Sunnyvale home when she was 10 days new. Mommy was so glad to finally have her baby girl to join their family with two older rambunctious brothers. We used soft pinks and purples to highlight the soft femininity of a new baby girl. Baby wasn't super interested in sleeping at the beginning (as is typical) but we got there in the end.
Happy birthday baby girls!! Today is a very special day in our family; today is my nieces' 1st birthday and so in honor their birthday I wanted to post their newborn photos that I was able to take with them about a year ago. After they were born my one year old daughter (the older kids stayed at home with dad because they had school) and I flew out of our home here in California to see these baby girls and to help out my husband's brother and sister in law with their new life caring for twins for about a week. That meant I got lots of cuddle time and we took LOTS of photos! I just love the blue and pink flower wraps that their mom had for us to use; aren't the matching bows just amazing! They matched my Luisa Dunn floral backdrops perfectly!! Happy birthday sweeties!!
This little angel was my first baby of the year! Little Camila was due on Christmas but born a few days later and I came to play at the beginning of January. We even got her big brother to play for a short time but as a rambunctious two year old he wasn't super interested in staying put.
Camila is such a blessing to her family. She is a rainbow baby.
Her family had to deal with quite a lot of hardships before she was born. Her mom said she wouldn't mind if I shared some of their story:
Their first pregnancy was quite difficult as the mom suffered from hypermesis gravidarum, but it was worth it when their son was born. A while later they became pregnant again and although it wasn't expected so soon after the birth of their first child the little family was thrilled to have their family grow and to have the siblings close together. Shortly after they announced their pregnancy to their family they got devastating news about someone in their family. Camila's grandpa had been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer. A few weeks later Camila's mom started feeling miscarriage symptoms and after having an ultrasound the doctor confirmed that the baby had passed. After recovering physically from the miscarriage Camila's family decided they weren't ready to actively try again for a baby as the loss was very painful but they would just wait to see what happened. Camila's mom became pregnant again soon after and the family was so happy to have this blessing. Shortly after finding out they were pregnant their family found out that grandpa was actually misdiagnosed with cancer: he actually had something less deadly called valley fever. Two miracles!! Camila's mom said "2018 was the greatest and worst year of our lives."
I am so happy for them and that they let me capture these special moments and got to share their rainbow after the storm.
Evalina met with me for her portrait photo debut after Thanksgiving at 15 days old. This little sweetie is such a blessing to her family as child #4. She is so loved!! We used several of her own outfits during our session. And she was so sleepy! I think it helped that we had the heat turned up a lot. Even Daddy fell asleep during the session! (that's actually one of my favorite parts during a newborn session: when the parents can relax and trust me enough that they just fall asleep!)
Part two of little Sinchana's newborn session, this time with her family. Her big brother loves her so much. And isn't her mother just so beautiful! I think she belongs in a magazine. And we also got some super tender photos with dad. I loved the colorful Indian quilt they had for us to use during the session.
