Last December I was able to photograph my first set of boy twins! They were just so cute, especially with their little Santa hats for Christmas that were a crocheted gift to their family. I was also able to try out some new floral design with the twins which I am super excited to offer now.
Since photographing twins is twice the work I recruited my friend Nathalie to help me out with these little guys. She is a family, newborn and fashion photographer here in Sunnyvale, and although she's currently expecting her third child she's still doing a few projects (at least for a little while). You can check out her work at nathaliebize.com or on Facebook and Instagram. She's fab!
This is my second nephew and I'm so glad his birth coincided with our spring break so that we could visit after he was born and capture his newborn photos just like I was able to do for his big brother. I think I may be setting a dangerous precedent for my family! ;) Just kidding, I've already promised to photograph my next two nieces so stay tuned for them in the springtime. :)
My daughter Amy was born a few weeks before my husband graduated with his PhD in Acoustics. And a few more weeks before we moved from Pennsylvania to California. Yes it was a hectic month, ha ha! I did my best to photograph my own baby but oh man it was hard. I had a c-section for the first time (she's my third child) and everything was harder. We ended up splitting her session (both in the hospital and at home) into four or five parts over a few days to get everything I wanted. I'm especially glad I did my own photos in the hospital because the photographer they had associated with the hospital that took her photos there did a terrible job. #photographerproblems
Baby was my very last baby to photograph before I had my third baby, so I was nearly 8 months pregnant! But this little guy was a dream to photograph so it helped me manage the session despite my big belly. He was born early and fast which was a surprise to his mama as this was her first baby, but he was perfectly sleepy during our session. We were able to incorporate several of his family's passions during this session. We were also able to create some beautiful lifestyle family portraits. Just love it!
